Overall I liked this one but it was a little hard to rate. But, to that I will mention that the actual ending scene was rather satisfying and actually felt like a closing for that particular slice of the story, I just didn't like all those other unanswered questions hanging out in the background.

#The chosen well of souls download series
However, to my understanding this is the end of the series and as such that makes for too many things that just didn't make complete sense to me *as they were presented* which I can't really see but as a con. Payton being called in as a forced neutral party (this is more a question of *why* not so much the actual being called in) and I think that's it but all of those are things that just didn't quite make sense to me with what information I have (though I'm allowing that some more backstory could clear things up). Then there's Q and his becoming? a favored soul, Dakota and her. Um, isn't he like a big deal? Sure I suspect what happened to him was both intentional and not permanent but I just felt that there was a disconnect between his importance and how the people in this world acted about that importance, like it seemed the emphasis was more on what it means for Q (which in one way is understandable as he IS actually one of this book's leads) but it still just doesn't sit right how Tobin goes from lead to something like a casual mention. the situation with him was dismissed off just about everyone's mind like no one ever cared about his existence. Tobin for being “favored” was well, won't say exactly what happened to him so. well let's just say that scene to me is when her descent into really becoming someone of this world is complete (which personally I'm sad about as I was rooting for her to be better but it's true that by changing she'll *live* and probably live in luxury in a way she might not have otherwise so, good for her?)Īs for cons there are a few plot points that I'm left unsatisfied by, the biggest one again returns to “politics” though the specifics of it *could* give something away so I'll try to explain without spoilers. And while on Dakota she also closes off the book with a scene where she makes herself watch something to “understand the cost of betrayal” which philosophically is quite something but literally. That said POOR Dakota, if I felt sorry for her in book one she's *played* in this one. In short to me this has the better elements of both the previous books.

So, let's get to it.įirst big difference is that this one read surpassingly like politics, like the “god” kind (although quite literally “politics” in cases like Madame Lee's backstory) but still, this one deals with who can and can't do things because of “god” reasons more than the previous books. Ok, I'm going to make this short and sweet, ish because I've already read/reviewed the first and second book and because I genuinely think I don't have that much to say about this one that wasn't covered before. but being unmarked might not be such a bad thing?
